What is metabolism? Metabolism is the rate at which your body burns calories. The faster you burn off calories, the more weight or fat you can she off even if you eat the same amount of food.

What is metabolic rate? The speed at which your body burns calories is called the metabolic rate. This rate can differ significantly from person to person. For example you and your friend can have the same activity level and diet but still gain or lose weight at different rates. The reason is simple differences in metabolism.

Your metabolism rate decreases when you get older. At mid thirties, metabolism slows by 3 to 5 % every 10 years, so by age 55, you need 150 fewer calories a day than you did in your mid thirties. This is why as working moms get older they tend to gain weight and find it extremely hard to get rid of excess fat or weight from their waistline and other areas.

Other factors such as diabetes, poor health, lack of physical activity or an under active thyroid could lead to a significant decrease in metabolism and increase in weight. People with conditions like these find that weight loss programs don’t work and no matter what they try they just can’t lose weight.

Okay, now you know the causes of decreases in metabolism, what do you need to do to lose inches and pounds effectively? Let me tell you that you just need to speed up your metabolism to accelerate your weight loss. Yes, boost your metabolism.

Here are the steps to speed up your metabolism to lose extra weight faster:

1. Drink Water. What a boring type of “drink 8 glasses of water” advice! But it works. You must drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day to maintain an optimal metabolism rate.

Water can help clean your digestive system and eliminate accumulated toxins or excess harmful substances from your body that add to your weight.

You can also drink cold water. It has been proven that cold water can boost your metabolism temporarily anywhere from 8-30%. That’s huge!

2. Eat 5-6 Smaller Meals. Eating smaller meals frequently prevents hunger pangs, and keeps your energy levels consistent which in turn will increase and speed up your metabolism. This is what you can do to keep yourself satisfied throughout the day — eat three healthy nutritious meals and eat healthy nutritious snacks in between those meals.

3. Do Exercise. Do aerobic exercise such as walking, biking or using a stair-climbing machine for at least 30 minutes. These will burn fat from all over your body. To get the greatest benefits from cardiovascular exercise, you need to do it for at least 30 minutes. Of course, the more you exercise the quicker you will burn the fat, but aim for two or three sessions a week to start with.

4. Get 7-8 Hours’ Sleep. Sleep deprivation can drain your energy and make it nearly impossible to lose weight. Not getting between 7-8 hours of sleep per night may be jeopardizing your own weight loss efforts.

Do you know why you can’t seem to lose weight successfully even though you have already read and tried tons of weight loss tip updates, diets, methods, strategies or programs? My guess is that you either read how to successfully lose weight and then STOP and do nothing or try out the methods but give up half way.

Weight loss isn’t easy. You must have the determination and persistence because it takes a sustained effort over a long period of time. Being adamant about losing inches and pounds is not enough. You also need to have persistence to drive you to your ideal weight.

Let me share with you some natural weight loss methods that most women know and may have tried to lose fat, but fail due to lack of determination and persistence.

1. Eat 5-6 Smaller Meals. Does that mean you should stop eating cheese burgers, mocha swiss rolls, and fish ball noodles once and for all? No way! I can’t give up yummy beef steak or double cheese burgers. Can you? Honestly, I can’t.

You can still eat the same foods as you do now, but spread them out in 5-6 smaller meals. The more frequent you eat, the more often your metabolic rate gets hiked up in the day. You also get better and more efficient digestion as well as better blood sugar balance when eating smaller meals throughout the day as opposed to 2-3 big meals.

2. Drink Plenty of Water. Water can help clean your digestive system and eliminate any harmful toxins or excess substances from your body that add to your weight.

Weight loss relies on your metabolism. The liver is in charge of this process. Lack of water leads to the malfunction of the kidneys. The liver will have to come in and help out. This will disrupt the conversion of stored fat to energy. As the results, you end up with more fat.

According to general health guidelines, you should drink at eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily. However, you need to consume an extra eight ounces for every 25 pounds of extra weight you have if you want to lose weight. In fact, you may need to drink even more if you are living in a hot climate or exercise intensively.

3. Lose Inches Off Your Waist with the Vacuum Pose. You suck in your belly button as much as possible and hold that position for between 15-60 seconds. The longer the better. Rest then repeat this. Do this for a total of 5 minutes a day.

Be careful not to make the mistake of sucking in your upper belly area. You want to suck in the lower belly around your belly button. If you are more dedicated, do the vacuum pose for 15-20 minutes each day and you will lose nearly 3 inches from your waist.

4. Get at Least Eight Hours of Sleep. To lose weight quickly, try to get at least eight hours of sleep a night. Studies have shown that irregular sleep patterns increase hormone levels in the body that are attributed to weight gain and fat retention.

It takes time and efforts to lose weight. But if you have the determination and persistence, you will get back your stop-and-stare body very soon.

I guess some work at home moms and I had one thing in common when we were still teen girls ancient years ago. We used to be teen girls envied by our peer because we seemed to be able to eat anything we wanted and never gained weight. But now, …

Now, it’s my turn to envy women, especially work at home moms with kids who walk with their perfect little bodies looking lean and sexy. It always makes me feel bad about my fat belly and wish I could look and feel the same way and lose weight (again).

When I first decided to lose weight, I was as confused as you are now. There are simply too many weight loss exercises, weight loss diets and programs, weight loss pills and supplements, natural remedies for weight loss and weight loss tips that help in losing weight quickly in the market. So how to choose the right, rapid weight loss plan or program?

I think picking the right program to lose weight is a less daunting task for me because I have ruled out the possibility of taking diet pills. I have read and seen some serious problems and side effects associated with diet pills. Among the many serious health problems such as nausea, dizziness, heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, strokes, kidney damage and liver malfunction, liver damage is perhaps the most feared by me. If you know the importance of liver, I am sure you will understand why I don’t want to consider diet pills.

Use your discretion when it comes to choosing the right weight loss plan or program to lose your excess fat. You should not only focus on losing weight quickly, but also safely.

You must know that your friend can lose 9 pounds in 11 days doesn’t mean that you can achieve the same results. This is because each person has a unique metabolism. Due to different metabolic rates, the results may vary. If you find that the weight is not being lost as quickly as it should be then perhaps you will need to adapt your exercise routine to something that is more arduous and change part of your weight loss diet plan to increase energy levels.

To increase your metabolic rate, eat at least 5-6 small meals per day. Eating more frequently and in smaller quantities not only helps to increase your metabolism but it also allows your body to feel more satisfied throughout the day.

Don’t be tempted to skip breakfast - or any meal to lose weight. While skipping a meal will reduce your calorie intake for that hour, it will leave you much hungrier later on. Even if you are typically not hungry in the morning, eat something small like a piece of fruit or even drink 100% fruit juice.

To tell you the truth, I was so happy when I first came to know that I could eat more frequently and still lose weight. This makes my determination to lose weight increase.

The first time I saw the photos of the disgusting plague, I felt like throwing up. I told hubby that the accumulated waste matter encrusted on the lining of the walls of the intestines and colon is no way from any human’s body. But the truth is, it is found in almost everyone’s body. No wonder 68% of the population is overweight!

The accumulated waste on the walls of the intestines and colon are all toxins consisting of nasty critters, parasites, worms and awful plaque. Over time, when the toxins are not eliminated, they are absorbed into the system and affect the functions of the organs of elimination which are the liver, kidneys, skin, and large intestine.

When the liver and kidney can’t do the job properly and work efficiently, the toxins move around and around in both the lymph system and blood, slowly causing autointoxication which then leads to various diseases such as weight gain, constipation, candida, brain fog and many more.

To be honest, my stomach bloats, my weight gains. I have constipation, bad breath, skin rashes, and clogged sinuses. No wonder I am overweight and feel fatigue very often.

There are many diets, programs and therapies that people use to eliminate the toxins from the body: fasting, healthy eating or lifestyle changes, colon hydrotherapy, detox program or colon cleansing treatment. Some convince you that home remedies or natural therapies work better while others think that scientifically researched herbal products in capsule or tablet forms bring good results.

I was as baffled as you are now. The more information I read, the more curious and confused I was. The more diets, programs or therapies I came across, the more difficult I felt in choosing the right program or therapy to eliminate the toxins from my body.

In my opinion, each program or therapy works. Just that, you must take care of the diet when you are undergoing the fasting, detox program, cleansing program or colon therapy.

As for me, I decided to follow an easy weight loss tip — change my bad eating habits. I have the habit of munching on junk food or processed foods while watching TV or managing my multiple niche blogs. I bet many working moms out there are like me, love eating hamburgers, fried chips, fatty foods, fried foods, and processed foods.

Does that mean I should stop eating cheese burgers, fried chips, mocha cakes, and fatty foods once and for all? No way! I can’t give up yummy beef steak or double cheese burgers. Can you? Honestly, I can’t.

What I do is cutting down on the quantity of the food first. Instead of eating 3 pieces of mocha cakes daily, I eat one piece of mocha cake every alternate day and munch on fresh fruits or vegetables while watching TV or managing my multiple niche blogs. This way I don’t feel that I am deprived of yummy food.

To aid the process of colon cleansing or getting rid of toxins from the body, I drink more water, juice or lemonade. To my amazement, lemonade is a great alternative to liquids. Staying away from all kinds of alcohol, coffee, fizzy drinks and sodas is no doubt easy for me.

The cleaning of this part of the body is surprisingly easy. Once I learn how to get rid of the plague, worms, critters, and other parasites, I am shocked that my body not only has lost all the weight that those things weigh themselves, but it can finally burn off the other fats that have been stored up.

Andes got me a weight loss tip video clip 2 weeks ago. Well, it’s actually not about losing weight, but it’s about a whipworm that is stubborn and refuses to be rid of from the human’s stomach. It finally dawned on me that the whipworm is the main reason why I am fat and unhealthy!

Honestly, I still can’t get the whipworm out of my head even though it’s been 2 weeks. Whenever I see canned goods, foods rich in MSG, junk food, or carbonated beverages, the sight of the disgusting whipworm munching on the junk food or slurping the carbonated coke in my stomach appears. Ewwwwww.

I can’t stand putting all junk food and heavily processed goodies into my body anymore. This will only make the whipworm fatter and longer. Ewwwwww. If the toxins accumulated in the vital organs are not flushed out, they will cause diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disease, arthritis and many more.

I want to remove the whipworm, toxic plaque, debris, parasites and all toxins from my body. Removing the toxins from the body involves cleansing and detoxification. Any cleansing program should begin in the colon, the last portion of the digestive system.

Cleansing and detoxification are important aspects of maintaining a healthy colon. As the colon’s function is to absorb nutrients and help eliminate waste, it benefits the body to make sure it has a clear pathway.

Thanks, Andes, for giving me some free weight loss tip advice the other day. I follow the weight loss tip one by one and it’s been a few days now.

The easy and free weight loss tip I like most is to avoid white carbohydrate food. Apparently, changing eating habit plays an important part in losing weight. Avoiding carbohydrate food that is white is especially important.

I have this bad habit of munching on my favorite swiss rolls, mocha cakes, and bread while watching TV or managing my multiple niche blogs at night. As they are considered white carbohydrate food, I must cut down on them.

I say I must cut down because I won’t stop this eating habit abruptly. It’s a torture for me not to eat swiss roles and mocha cakes! I have cut down the days I eat swiss rolls or the quantity of the food. Instead of eating them every night, I make it ever alternate night. So it’s like a night with swissrolls, the next day with fruits and vegetables in low sugars. Or a night with one swiss roll instead of previous 3 swiss rolls. One swiss roll, plus some fruits or vegetables …

So far, I am used to this new eating habit that is a good weight loss tip. Fruits and vegetables pack in a lot of fiber and are very nutrient rich. Being aware of what I am eating and getting the right nutrients is a very important part of feeling good.

Another weight loss tip is to make changes on my drinks. I love ice tea and coffee very much. In fact, I need 3 cups daily. I like Andes’ suggestion - drink ice tea or coffee without milk and less sugar. Amazingly, I am okay with this non-milk, less sugar or non-sugar ice tea or coffee.

Americans spend approximately $50 BILLION per year on weight loss diet and weight loss products! With so much free Weight Loss Tip updates and more fat loss programs and supplements available then ever before how is it possible that 60% of the population is still fat or overweight?

It boils down to the fact that people are eating too much and not exercising enough. In being obese, there is the big possibility or risk of having other illnesses or diseases that can make situations even worse.

I know perfectly well that I am fat not because of genetics, or because I am “big boned”, or because of hormone imbalances. I am fat because of my unhealthy eating habit and lack of exercise. As I am not a big fan of heavy workouts, I will start with changing my eating habit.

I am changing my eating habit slowly by following free weight loss tips given by Andes. I will do it slowly to lose my fat belly. I don’t know about other working mamas, but I prefer to take one step at a time to lose my weight so that I am not giving myself too much pressure.

Most nutrition experts agree that a safe and healthy weight loss is losing between 1-2 pounds per week. While this may not seem like much, it is very realistic and achievable goal for me. So if I have 20 lbs. that I like to lose, I am prepared to give myself a minimum of 10 weeks to lose that much weight.

If I try to lose weight too fast I will just be setting myself up for disappointment. Trust me, it has happened so many times that I don’t want to repeat the same mistake. Why use the same old way of losing weight or same old weight loss tip if it doesn’t make me lose any weight?

You can, but drink unsweetened iced tea, tea, diet sodas, coffee (without white cream). Do not drink milk, normal soft drinks, or fruit juice.

See, the weight loss tip updates are simple, right? However, one sure healthier way to lose weight and help you to keep it off is all in your mind. You need to start thinking about this as a long-term lifestyle change that helps you to get fit and healthy and ultimately help you to shed those unwanted pounds rather than as a quick fix where the results are only temporary and potentially detrimental to your health.

I guess that it’s because Jennifer Lopez is a celebrity, she has to get back in shape as soon as possible. Working mamas and I are fortunate lots that can take our time to lose weight slowly, and most importantly, healthily.

I love reading how celebrity mamas lose weight but I am perfectly clear that it’s superhuman the way some celebrities slip back into slinky dresses just weeks after having a baby. I prefer a moderate way of losing weight that suits my time, work and lifestyle.
